Culinary students mixed up some delicious lemonade drinks for people to send to their friends on Valentine's Day!

The Lady Viking Golf Team competed in the mist & mud yesterday in Bastrop and came away with a 2nd Place team finish out of 7 teams represented. Mia Garcia had a new PR. Congratulate them when you see them.

The LVHS girls golf team (Blue) participated in the Marble Falls Mustang Classic held at Hidden Falls this past weekend and placed 7th as a team out of 14 schools (all bigger than us) 370, 374 for a 744 2 day total. New PR's for LVHS tournaments - Jenna Janson 90, Violet Wheeler 86, and Bailey Burlew 93. Adriana Owen led the team with a 179 2-day total.

The LVHS boys golf team participated in the Cedar Creek HS JV Golf Invitational at ColoVista Golf Course. Individually, the Vikings placed two members in the top 10 in the tournament of 33 players. Dalton McKinney placed 3rd, overall with a score of 90 and Mikah Helton placed 9th with a score of 110. AJ Stobb also participated in the tournament and placed 12th with a score of 111. Way to go, Vikings!

Counselors will be working steadily this semester to plan with students and parents regarding next year's coursework. Please encourage your students to check their emails and pay attention to announcements to set up these crucial meetings with their counselors. Parents are welcome to attend the 1:1 meetings, as well. Be on the lookout here and in your inbox for more information.

On Saturday, February 22 from 8:30am-11:30am, LVHS Admin and Counseling Team is offering the chance for Juniors to take a practice SAT in an environment similar to the real deal. We will provide a quiet space, similar timing, proctors, and breakfast ALL FOR NO COST to students. All we need is for students to pre-register so we know how to set up the space and how much breakfast to buy. Please have your student SIGN-UP HERE!

The annual La Primavera Bike Race is headed to Lago on February 28th-March 2nd! Keep Lago Vista Beautiful (KLVB) and other volunteers will be picking up trash on the 5.5 mile cycling route. PLEASE COME AND JOIN US!

We received a shout out about some young ladies who were integral to the success of the Lago Vista Women's Club Gala on January 25th.

The LVWC extends huge thank you to Mackenzie Joshua for being the impact speaker. She stood up on stage in front of about 250 people and spoke passionately about her chosen path to become a Drama educator following high school. Joining Mackenzie were other Senior girls who served so well, including:

These young ladies were so helpful. They welcomed guests, helped provide directions, and even worked with the caterer to help with the dinner service. They were so poised and polite. LVHS should be proud!

They gave up a Saturday evening to help, and the LVWC said that they couldn't have done it without them. That night, the LVWC was able to raise about 35K which will be turned into scholarships for these young women as they move to the next step in life. Way to represent, Vikings!
