Week #6 - September 25th - September 29th - B Week
Message from the Principal
Otter Families!
Here is the final Fun Run breakdown!
GRAND TOTAL PROFIT: $22,000! - I don't even know what to say about this final figure. I was blown away! Your generosity and commitment to our school is appreciated more than you know! In the coming weeks, I will be seeking input from teachers, parents, and students about how they would like these additional funds spent.
TOP EARNING CLASS: Mrs. Karimi's Kindergarten - They raised $4,600! Mrs. Karimi and Mrs. Peter will join me in getting SLIMED by their class!
TOP EARNING STUDENT: Liliana Bouchard - She raised $1,845! She will get the opportunity to SLIME me!
This Friday, we will begin a new tradition at OES. We will have our first Community Gathering. Community Gatherings are for our staff and students to come together to have fun and build relationships. We have a dedicated committee, headed by Mr. Layne, Mrs. Boomer, and Mrs. Furr, planning these events! Please be sure to ask your child about the experience when they come home on Friday afternoon!
I can't believe we are already at the end of September! Please be aware that Monday, October 9th, will be an ASYNCHRONOUS learning day for students. An asynchronous learning day means that students will not come to school, but will have work that is expected to be completed. They will not have scheduled times they are expected to meet virtually with their teachers. Work will either be submitted online through Schoology or be returned to their teacher on Tuesday, October 10th, according to their teacher's direction. Parent/Teacher conferences will be held on this day. You should be receiving communication from your child's teacher about conference day.
Otterly Yours,
Mrs. Anderson
