Today is National Pizza Day! Did you know that the average American eats around 23 pounds of pizza each year? And 17% of restaurants in the United States are pizzerias.

On February 15, Ball in the House will be joining us in the Murdock Auditorium, where they will provide three shows (one for MHS; one for MMS and one for TTE and Memorial students).

Ball in the House is an R&B/Soul/Pop a cappella group based out of Boston, MA,
​whose high energy shows have audiences singing, dancing, even beatboxing along!

With their extensive tour schedule (averaging 200 shows a year), Ball in the House has performed everywhere - from theaters to performing arts centers, fairs & festivals, to opening for some of the biggest acts in the world, such as The Beach Boys, The Jonas Brothers, The Temptations, Fantasia, Gladys Knight, Lionel Richie, Jessica Simpson, Blondie, Smokey Robinson, KC & The Sunshine Band, Diamond Rio, Colin Raye, Orleans, and numerous others.

The district's request for a waiver for the five days missed by Murdock Middle and High Schools due to the building issue in November has been denied by the Commissioner. The makeup days for Murdock Middle and High students and staff will be as follows:

3 Days Made Up During February Break:

Wednesday February 21, Thursday February 22, and Friday February 23: 1/2 days for Murdock students (7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.) and full days for staff. Breakfast and lunch will be provided for students. Bus schedules will run as they normally do on 1/2 days for middle and high school students.

2 Days Made Up After the Last Day of School:

We will make up the other two days after the last day of school, and these days will be 1/2 days for Murdock Middle and High students and staff. Because the actual last day of school often changes, if we have a full snow day during the year, these two makeup days will be announced in the spring.

The district plans to ask again for a waiver of the 2 days to be made up after the last day of school. Updates will be provided as they are available.

We have winter coats available in children's sizes 4 through 18 for families in need. Please contact your child's school nurse or Central Office at 978-297-0031 to see if your child's size is available.
