DISTRICT UPDATES FROM SUPERINTENDENT RYBA
As a follow up to the discussions and decisions made during last night’s Board Meeting, HERE is an update from Superintendent Ryba that was emailed to our District families earlier today.
SCS RESPONSIBLE RESTART COMPREHENSIVE GUIDE
Our District has created the SCS Responsible Restart Comprehensive Guide - one document in one location outlining our District’s policies and procedures. This document should be used as a guide, allowing you to quickly find answers to your questions. The guide can also be found at www.strongnet.org/restart.
As we have seen throughout the pandemic, factors can change on a daily basis and this Guide will remain adjustable and flexible to respond to state and local health guidelines.
‘HERE COMES THE BUS’ APP
'Here Comes The Bus' is an app for SCS families to track busing information and routes for their student(s), as well as real-time notifications. The app and complementary website - available on a smartphone, tablet, or laptop, or personal computer - enables parents to see the location of their child’s school bus on its daily route. Download the ‘Here Comes the Bus’ app to monitor daily transportation information.

MUSTANG SPOTLIGHT - MRS. KAREN KENNEDY, CLASSROOM TEACHER AT EARLY LEARNING PRESCHOOL
Mrs. Karen Kennedy (Miss Karen, as her students know her) has worked in our District for 21 years - all at our Early Learning Preschool. Miss Karen earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Akron and her graduate degree from Baldwin Wallace University. Her involvement and work to provide the best learning environment for Strongsville’s “Mini Mustangs” goes beyond the classroom. She was part of the team that raised funds for a new playground at the preschool and has been a member of the preschool PTA since it was formed.
“I love the joy and energy our children bring. They are so excited to learn new things. It is amazing to see the changes and growth over the course of a school year. I love the time I spend working with our children and am also blessed to work with an amazing team at the preschool,” said Miss Karen.
Thank you Miss Karen for your efforts in developing our Mini Mustangs and building a strong foundation for their transition to kindergarten. #WeAreStrongsville
