The grace of the sacraments is so tangible—but may be something we often take for granted. I was talking to a friend once about his conversion to Catholicism, and he told me that Catholics can live this life with God so much more easily than protestants with the difference of our beliefs. He said that protestants are constantly reaching for God. Within the Catholic Church, God reaches directly down to us. He gives us such tangible graces through the sacraments.

“Grace is favor, the free and undeserved help that God gives us to respond to his call to become children of God, adoptive sons, partakers of the divine nature and eternal life. Grace is a participation in the life of God.” (CCC #1996- 1997)
In every sacrament, God gives us Sanctifying grace (the grace which confers on our souls a sharing in the life of God Himself) and sacramental grace (special grace that helps us to carry out the particular purpose of the sacrament). For example, in Reconciliation, God gives the particular grace that helps to cure the deeper inclinations to evil that actual sins have put in our soul and makes it easier for us to keep out of sin in the future. And for the Eucharist, He gives us the grace that nourishes our love of God and one another and helps to overcome our natural self-love, or selfishness. We are looking for a long-term substitute in our 5 year old kindergarten classroom. Mrs. Simon will be having her baby and we are in need of a substitute beginning sometime in November and going until sometime in January.

GLOW WALK! Students are asked to get pledges for the walk to help them earn various glow items. We encourage our families to raise as much money as possible for our school, and

to have fun while doing it. Every dollar raised goes directly back to Holy Trinity

Catholic School.

Join us for church at 4 P.M. and then grab a bite to eat before participating in the Glow Walk. We will have TWO FOOD TRUCKS at our event. Nosh Nook and Flip's Mini Donuts will be here!

The money we raise at Holy Trinity will be used for specialized field trips, bussing

for field trips, and for our library remodel.

We will be having a Dia de los Muertos (All Souls Day) altar again this year. Families, if you would like to send a picture (printed) of a deceased loved one that you would like honored on the altar, we will display it. Please have pictures in by Friday, October 27th. We will have a presentation on Thursday, November 2nd.

On Friday, November 10th, 2023 we will be holding a Veteran's Day Program at Holy Trinity School.

Any veterans from our school families and parish are welcome to attend.

We will begin with Mass at 7:45, followed by a presentation in the Holy Trinity School Gym afterwards.

Students please wear a red, white, or blue polo.

Friday, November 3rd - Shepherd of the Hills (8th Grade Night)

It is time again to prepare for the Missoula Children's Theater. It will take place the week of January 22nd to the 27th, 2024 in the high school theater. There will be two shows again this year on Saturday the 27th, one at 3 pm, and another at 7pm. Attached you will find the poster and audition notice.

The Kettle Moraine Symphony is excited to once again be offering a family Holiday concert on Saturday, December 2nd at the University of Wisconsin- Washington County. Besides all your favorite Christmas music, there will be cookies and cocoa as well as a special visit from Santa! All children and students get in free! Please help us spread the word and nurture this beautiful community tradition.

MEN'S EVENT

There will be a men's sporting clays event on Saturday, October 28 at 10 am. This casual event will cost $21 per person. Father Patrick will be shooting as well.
