A reminder from the DC School District Nurse
Dear Families,
Do you have an incoming Preschooler, Kindergartner, 7th grader or Senior?
All required vaccines or the exemption forms are due before September 5th. Use the MN Department of Health's Immunization/Exemption form to document vaccines as well as exemptions. (Exemptions must be signed and notarized.)
Please contact the Licensed School Nurse, Jenny Heidecker, if your child has special health needs, requires medication, nursing assistance or if you have questions or concerns regarding your child's health.
WELCOME NEW DC TEACHERS! 🏫
🍎🥛 FREE SCHOOL MEALS
Dassel-Cokato students will receive one free breakfast and lunch on school days this year. Additional items will be for sale and can be charged to each family's food service account. In order for students to purchase items, families must have a positive balance in their account.
Although no application is required to receive free meals this year, filling out the Application for Education Benefits still helps reduce other fees and helps qualify our schools for important funding.
It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible to determine eligibility.
BRING US YOUR PLASTIC RECYCLING
We're excited to announce Dassel-Cokato Schools has partnered with Trex decking in the NexTrex Recycling Challenge! Each school is being challenged to recycle 1,000 pounds of plastic recycling in the next 12 months. Upon meeting that goal, each school will receive a FREE TREX bench! Drop off your plastic recycling in any school building throughout the school year.
