Dear Cirby Families,

I hope this newsletter finds you well as we navigate through the second month of the year. Our students continue to excel in their academic pursuits, with remarkable achievements in various subjects. I would like to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of both students and teachers. As we move forward, let's continue to foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity and growth.

We encourage parents to get involved in our school community. If you are interested in volunteering, please reach out to our Parent Teacher Club (PTC) for available opportunities. You can call the office to get more information.

Please come check out our Lost and Found after school. Once again, it is overflowing and we are running out of room. With the few warm days, we have many sweatshirts and jackets that need to find their owner.

-Please make sure we are following all traffic suggestions at pick up and drop off.

-Please NO U-TURNS. Traffic is congested and it causes even more of a backup.

-Students are not allowed to be on campus before 7:15am to eat breakfast. If they are not eating breakfast, they may come onto campus at 7:30am.

Hi! I am Mrs. Tipton and Cirby is a special place to me - a place I call home! I was a student at Cirby for Kindergarten through Sixth grade and have been teaching at Cirby for 13 years! In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family. I love sunshine and being outdoors. Camping, nature walks, swimming, reading a good book and cheering my son on at his sporting events are a few of my favorites.

Please join us for the Cirby Family Dance this Friday, February 9th from 5:30pm - 7pm in our MPR.

Cirby School prides itself on our PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports) system. We wanted to start this PBIS Corner in the newsletter so you get a better understanding about what it is, how we use it, and give you an opportunity to see how it’s working.

So, our first PBIS Corner is to remind everyone of the expectations we follow at Cirby: Show Respect, Make Good Decisions, and Solve Problems.

And…have you seen or heard of blue tickets?

We give out blue tickets to students that are following our Cirby expectations. We draw names in the classroom each week as well as each month for super cool prizes. Ask your child about blue tickets!

Please read the updated Illness Guide. This went into effect Monday, January 29, 2024.

We have a new anonymous reporting system that the district is implementing called Stop It Solutions! It allows individuals to anonymously report safety, misconduct, or compliance concerns to help others or connect with trained Crisis Counselors from the Crisis Text Line™ to help themselves. You can find this app on our school website. You can log into this app to report a concern and it will notify administration so we can promptly address it.
