Week at Windsor 3.29.20
Looking back and ahead at Windsor news and happenings...
Dear Windsor Families,
It has been a couple of weeks since our last Week at Windsor. We have been planning for the week of E-Learning ahead.
We sent a letter on Friday following Dr. Bein's community message around our extended school closing and E-Learning dates/plans through April 7th. For this issue, we will just include some reminders and highlights.
Monday, March 30th marks Day 5 of our District 25 E-Learning Days. Below we included more explanation about Days 6-10.
If there is anything you need during this upcoming week, please do not hesitate to reach out to us or your child's teacher. We are here to help and do all that we can to support everyone during this challenging time.
Warmest regards,
Piper Boston, Principal @PrincipalBoston
Lindsay Anastacio, Assistant Principal @lindzana
We are having a Windsor Spirit Week starting this Monday. Feel free to post any photos, videos, etc. to @WindsorWildcats or send them to Ms. Boston pboston@sd25.org to share!
Remote E-Learning Days 6-10
On the first school closing day, our staff members began planning your child's E-Learning experience for Days 6-10. We will email our new Windsor E-Learning Choice Board for Days 6-10 on Monday. (You can reference the week's choice board anytime to plan ahead.) Your child's teacher will also continue to email you the link each day by 9:00 AM and any additional reminders along with the daily attendance link, similar to Days 1-5.
These new choice boards will be somewhat similar to Days 1-5, which were planned by our District 25 Department of Student Learning. However, you may notice that some of the Days 6-10 activities are more in line with the recent instruction your child received at school. The activities were created in a way that the majority of students should be able to complete them independently. We are not introducing any new material. Our goal is to continue to have our students review and solidify concepts they have already learned.
All staff members will be working remotely from their homes during the hours of 8:15 AM to 3:45 PM. Many are also working from home with their families similar to many of you, but they will be available periodically throughout the day to answer any questions via email or within 24 hours.
This continues to be a new, first-time experience for everyone. We want to keep these at-home learning days as routine, easy, and valuable as possible for everyone. We understand your children will be home under varying circumstances. Please just do the best you can. Thank you again for being on this journey with us and for your continued support.
