Greetings Dolphin Family!

I am beyond excited to welcome each of you to the 2019-2020 school year. We have so much in store for our EXTRAordinary dolphin scholars. It is my hope that everyone had a phenomenal summer and scholars are well rested, ready to meet their teachers, meet new friends, and dive right in to learning. We are "Purpose Driven" in our Pursuit of Excellence this year and are planning on the best year yet for Randolph Elementary.

Our doors open for scholars at 7:10 a.m. daily. Scholars may stop by the cafeteria for "Grab-and-Go" breakfast or report directly to their classroom(s). Any scholar wanting to eat breakfast must pick it up before reporting to class, as they will not be able to go back to the cafeteria after they arrive to class.

Students must arrive to school no later than 7:40 a.m. or they are tardy. Scholars must be signed in at the front desk by a parent/guardian after 7:40 a.m.

The school day ends at 2:20 p.m.

There are no early dismissals or check-outs after 2:00 p.m. daily.

Did you know the Fulton County Schools Transportation Department has an App to locate your scholar's bus? Visit the transportation website to get bus information and to download the "Here Comes the Bus" App.

If you need to make a change to your scholar's transportation please do so in advance and in writing. We will not make changes to transportation via text messages. If you email a transportation change, be sure to contact the front office to inform them of the email, as we cannot guarantee reading the email prior to dismissal.

The morning carpool route will remain the same as last year's. For the safety of our scholaars and families, all car riders are to be dropped off in the car loop at the main entrance of the school. No cars will be allowed to drive on the school bus entrance loop, or make a left turn in to the Randolph school main entrance parking lot. All cars will have to go to the Sandtown Park driveway to turn around and make a right turn in to the main driveway of the school. A police officer will be on site to support the traffic plan.

The PM carpool line is quite lengthy. It is important that you arrive before 2:20 p.m. to get in the carpool line. Be sure to have your car rider number ready.

To ensure an effective and efficient afternoon dismissal for all scholars, no parents will be allowed inside the school building to pick up car riders in the afternoon. All car riders must be picked up outside in the car rider loop area.

At Randolph Elementary, we offer FREE grab-and-go breakfast to all scholars. Please be sure to arrive on time to take advantage of this opportunity.

Title 1 Parent, Family & Community Engagement Survey

Randolph Elementary is a Title 1 school, and as the parent/guardian/family or community member you are an important part of the team. Your input is vital in the planning and implementation of the parental involvement program and activities at school.

The survey is confidential and takes approximately 10 minutes to complete, it will be used to assist with planning (SY20) for future events and activities to support parental and family engagement at Asa Philip Randolph Elementary School. Click below to complete the survey.

A. Philip Randolph has 3 full release days for the school year. These days are set aside for our staff to participate in professional development. The dates for the 2019-2020 school year are:

October 10, 2019

February 14, 2020

March 16, 2020

Students are not to report to school on these days.

At Randolph we encourage our students to wear uniforms. Our uniform consists of Yellow, Blue, or White shirts with Khaki or Navy bottoms. Wednesday is College day and jeans may be worn with a College shirt. Friday is spirit day and jeans may be worn as well.

It is not a requirement to have the school logo on the shirts.
