An Extraordinary Place to Learn
A Message from Principal Wilson
Welcome to what is probably the busiest month of the school year, March. We are halfway through second semester. 3rd quarter report cards will be coming home soon, after which we will only have 9 more weeks of the 2020 school year. Wow!!!
We are excited to embark on our March "Success Academy" for our students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades. Our teachers are focusing on prioritized standards and spiraling the standards scholars need support with, to ensure success on the milestones. We are consistently looking at data to determine strategic next steps in preparation for success as we close in on the final days before testing.
We recently celebrated our Teacher of the Year and School Professional of the Year. Congratulations goes out to Ms. Jessica Taylor, Teacher of the Year and Ms. Shena Small, School Professional of the Year! We are proud to have both of them represent Randolph.
As we look to end this year strong, there are a few things I am challenging all of us to remain focused on.
- Please talk to your scholars about the importance of "See Something, Say Something." We are asking that our scholars please share with their teachers or our administrative team if there are things going on that are not appropriate for school.
- Please remind your scholars that cell phone usage is not permitted at school and that phones should be put away and remain there during the instructional day.
- Continue to arrive on time daily.
- Continue to communicate concerns directly to teachers and administrators.
We thank you for all that you do to support A. Philip Randolph. Your commitment to our pursuit of excellence is appreciated.
In Partnership,
Principal Wilson, Proud Dolphin
