Middle and High School Social-Emotional Screeners for 2023-24
Truman Administration is October 12th
Lindbergh Schools will administer the Panorama social-emotional screener two times this year. Parents will have access to their child’s results. The building-wide social-emotional learning screening survey serves two purposes:
To help the district evaluate the effectiveness of district-level mental health and social and emotional programming.
To identify areas of strengths and needs for individual students in grades 6-12.
More about Panorama Student Survey:
Panorama is a 36-item student-rater screening tool. Students respond to computer-based questions aligned to social, academic, and emotional behaviors. This will be administered only in grades 6-12.
Click here to see the SEL topics and screening questions on the Panorama student survey tool. In order to learn more about student experiences at school, we will administer an online survey in October and March. The survey shouldn’t take more than 15-20 minutes to complete.
If you would like more information regarding the importance of SEL screening surveys or you would like to opt out your child(ren) from the 2023-24 Panorama survey, click here. You will need to complete an opt-out form for each child enrolled in the district.

Requests for parent pick up
We are asking that you pick up your students in our parent pick up line or on the streets adjacent to the school that have sidewalks. Neighbors are concerned with students walking through their yards and tearing them up. The secondary reason we ask you to pick up your kids in our parent pick up line or on streets with sidewalks is that we do not want the students to have to walk on the streets either. Out of respect to our neighbors, we are asking for your cooperation. We want to be good neighbors to the homes that surround our school. Thank you!
Infinite Campus and Grading
Just wanted to clarify the differences between the grades that you will be potentially seeing on Infinite Campus. 6th grade core classes (ELA, Math, Sci, SS) will be utilizing standards based grading and it will be reported as Exceeds Expectations (EE), Mastery of Essential Skills (ME), Nearing Mastery (NM), and Still Developing (SD). 6th grade elective classes will have typical grades reported as A,B,C,D,F. 7th and 8th grade core and elective classes will also be reported as A,B,C,D, F. To be clear, EE, ME, NM, and SD have no correlation to A, B, C, D, F grades. Let us know if you have any questions. Our goal is for all students to achieve ME (Mastery of Essential Skills).
Rock Your School
LHS home football games
We just wanted to communicate expectations for attending high school football games:
- Middle school students are welcome at games and must be accompanied by a parent and supervised.
- Students must remain seated if they choose to hang out on the hill.
- No outside sports equipment allowed.
- Watch and enjoy the game.
- Do not wander to off-limits locations or the visiting team's side.
- Students who do not follow our expectations will be asked to leave.

Lindbergh Speaker Series
"Reading Success Plans" 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 26
This speaker series will focus on Lindbergh Reading Success Plans, which are designed for students with specific reading needs to set goals and outline steps to work toward achieving them.
All students who attend Reading Intervention or receive additional reading support in the classroom will have a Lindbergh Reading Success Plan this year to address student needs and monitor reading progress.
This Speaker Series answers questions such as:
How does Lindbergh identify students who need additional reading support?
What is a Reading Success Plan, and what does it mean for my child?
How do I read and understand my student’s Reading Success Plan?
If my child has a Reading Success Plan, what happens next?

Thanks to the amazing Truman community for donating to our Direct Donation campaign. We are excited to see that thermometer climb, and currently have $3500 dollars! Thank you!
To reach our goal of being able to offer grants to Truman staff, we really need to reach that $5,000 mark.
