North St. Paul - Oakdale - Maplewood Rotary Club donates freezer to Meals on Wheels
Gladstone Meals on Wheels had a dedication ceremony to celebrate the arrival of a brand new, shiny 54.4” W freezer donated by the Rotary Club of North St. Paul-Maplewood-Oakdale! The new freezer is bigger and better than the previous faulty one, and it doubles the program’s frozen storage capacity. That’s 49 cubic feet of extra space, which was much needed.
During the ceremony, Jordi Teillard-Cui, the Adult and Senior Programs Coordinator, expressed his excitement and gratitude for the new freezer. He said that this enhancement is transformative for their operations, and they can now expand the range of meal options available to the seniors they serve.
The new freezer is a major milestone in the mission to serve more veterans and Older Americans Act Title III recipients. The program can now ensure that nutritious meals continue to reach those who rely on their services.
