This is my second year at Deal and going into my ninth year with DCPS. I am from Washington, DC, but live in Maryland. During my free time, I enjoy listening to music, watching TV, walking my furry “son” Hershey, painting, writing, and spending time with family and friends. Two of my favorite authors are Toni Morrison and Terri Woods. The genre of books I like to read are realistic fiction, mystery, drama, poetry, crime, and short stories. I am anxious to see what this school year brings and how excited the students would be when coming into the library!

This is my first year at Deal and my 16th year as a school librarian. I was a life-long resident of Prince George's County before moving to DC a few weeks ago! During my free time, I enjoy reading, going on walking dates with friends, making art, being outdoors (especially kayaking!), and laughing with my fiancée and two daughters. A book I'm loving right now is Skye Falling by Mia McKenzie. My favorite book genre is queer romantic comedies.
