On February 6th, Mr. Randy Whitaker visited the Middle School Life Skills class to discuss career readiness, specifically preparing for an interview and maintaining employment. Mr. Whitaker is the general manager of FNB Stadium, home of the Harrisburg Senators baseball team. Students listened closely to his presentation and then were able to ask their own questions. It was a great way to start their morning! Thank you to our wonderful Life Skills teacher Jamie Dunham for setting up this wonderful opportunity!

Thank you to the Mechanicsburg-North Rotary Club for recognizing our students!
State Capitol Trip
This week students from the high school had the privilege to take a behind the scenes tour of the State Capitol. Afterwards they participated in a panel discussion led by representatives from the Communications Director for the Auditor General, Deputy Director of the Treasurer’s office, and the Directors for Senator Greg Rothman and Rep. Thomas Kutz’s offices. They discussed the wide array of internships and jobs available in the public service sector and explained how they are used to help shape our society.
