OLLV Catholic School
2021-2022
Be it known to all who enter here, that Christ is the reason for this school. He is the unseen, but ever present teacher in the classrooms, the model of its faculty, and the inspiration of its students.
Angel Note: May 31, 2022
"Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father,
and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,
teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” MT 28:19
School-Wide Learning Expectation of The Week: Effective Communicators who speak well
By the time our 8th-grade students graduate from Our Lady of Las Vegas, Students speak in a highly focused, coherent and organized manner, clearly addressing the intended audience.
The last week of school we will continue to focus on the our students communication skills.
Congratulations to the OLLV Kindergarten Class of 2022!
Best Wishes And Farewell
As this school year comes to an end, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your support and involvement within our school community. Sadly, we say farewell to our wonderful Eighth Grade students, we wish them much success and happiness. To the families who will be leaving us, we appreciate all that you have done over the years - you will be missed - we wish you well!
We also say good-bye to three very special members of our Our Lady Of Las Vegas community. We say farewell to Mr. Castelan, Mrs. Kazi, and Mrs. Aguilar as they leave to pursue other opportunities. These special teachers have been a wonderful gift to our students and to our entire parish/school community. May God continue to bless you – you will be greatly missed!

Thank You Fram The Library
Dear Parents and Families,
I’m sending my sincere gratitude for making our Book Fair an outstanding success! We
have a great community of students, parents, grandparents, teachers, and staff.
Everyone with their enthusiasm, cooperation, and work made this event a great one.
Thanks to your contributions, we sold over 1,500 books, worth $16,000 in sales at our
fair. The profit of this sale for our school will be credit in books which we’ll use to update
our school library and classroom’s libraries. We also collected more than $40 for All for
Books™, a program turning Book Fair donations into books for children who cannot
afford them. In addition, some students donated more books to their classroom libraries
by buying over $400 in Gift Certificates to their teachers.
I really appreciated Mrs. Bello and Mrs. Gaffney posting the Book Fair in the Angel
Notes, our school Web page, and our social media. Special thanks to Jamie Bennet,
Tatum Gaughan, Rhonda Houghtaling, Michelle Probst, David Murphy, and Ben Peralta
for helping with the decoration and setting up of the Book Fair. Elizabeth Dillingham,
Sharon Glover, Yesenia Maggio, Lucy Miller, Hilary Murphy, and Orela Wickman for the
many hours they put in, as well as all the many parents and grandparents who volunteer
during the week. All the teachers who helped motivating the students to participate in
the Book Fair contest and raffle. I would like to mention the Pre-K teachers, Darla
Boleky and Juana Petitjean for stepping forward and offer to help packing up the fair.
Lastly, we can’t forget to thank Mrs. Whitley and her 8th grade broadcast team, and the
students, Mateo Petitjean, Martin Petitjean, Hayden Thompson, and Tye Tucker for
advertising the fair during drop off and pick up.
My reward for hosting a Book Fair is watching your kids discover new books. All that joy
wouldn’t be possible without volunteers from our school community. I hope to see you
and your child at our next Fair. Until then, happy reading!
Gratefully,
Malena Perrigo
Book Fair Chairperson
