School is Where You Belong!
We have seen a significant increase in student absences this year. Being chronically absent (10% of school year) can have a significant impact on a student's academic progress and their ability to access the variety of academic and non-academic supports that schools provide. Please reach out to the school if you would like support in getting your students to school!
West Bridgewater Public Library Behavior Expectations
We have received reports from the West Bridgewater public library that students are not following the library rules and instructions. Please review the library behavior policy https://westbpl.org/behavior-policy/ with your child so they do not lose their library privileges. Below is a list of the most pertinent information:
- Inappropriate and disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. Inappropriate behavior is defined as roughhousing and horseplay inside and outside the building. It is also defined as a rude, crude, disrespectful, and boisterous manner.
- Should the behavior continue the library user will be asked to leave the premises. Should the library user be a minor the parents/legal guardians will be notified of the inappropriate behavior and an appropriate length of suspension of library privileges and exclusion from library premises will be imposed. Should the inappropriate behavior result in damage to library property, restitution is required.
- Smoking and consumption of food and drink are not permitted inside the building.
They love putting faces to names, and becoming familiar with patrons and members of the community.
