Manitou Springs High School
Mustang News - September 23rd, 2022
From The Principal
We had some wonderful opportunities for students this week, such as our Theater and Choir students attending a play at the ENT Center, Construction students creating soffits in the attic of our Home Build, and our Mustang Boys’ Soccer team winning against CSCS in the last 10 seconds of double overtime! We also celebrated our wonderful IT professionals, Lesley Blythe and Gabrielle Waters for National IT Appreciation Day on Monday. We are looking forward to an awesome Homecoming Week 9/26-10/1, and hope to see many of you at our events! Go Stangs! Anna Conrad Manitou Springs High School Interim Principal

From The Performing Arts Department...
Please reach out to Rose Lyda at 719-325-6967 / rosemarielyda@hotmail.com, or Susan Taylor / 973-820-3556 or susan.creativeedge@gmail.com to join other MSSD14 Performing Arts Lovers. Our goal is to support our students, raise awareness and funds for the arts in our school district, and expand the audiences at our school’s performances. Opportunities abound for parents and community members alike to join together in support of our students' participation in all of the performing arts - theatre, choir, band, jazz band and orchestra. From refreshments at intermission (Yes, we need a team of bakers to help prepare yummy treats for these shows!!), to helping expand opportunities for our students to participate and experience the arts, we need your talents and expertise.
Music Theory
For example - 2 8th notes equal a quarter note, 2 16th notes equal an 8th note, therefore 4 16th notes equal a quarter note.
