Pine Ridge Prep Update

Dear Pine Ridge Prep Families,

Pine Ridge Prep was proud to host the United Way Bus Tour this past Friday, March 25. We were able to share with a leadership group within Topeka about our program and our passion for educating preschool students! #PineRidgePrepProud!

As a reminder, per the Topeka Public Schools Board of Education decision on March 3, 2022, masks are no longer required and are now optional. If you send your child in a face mask, we will have them keep it on for the remainder of the school day.

Families who have a preschool ready to begin Kindergarten this fall (must be 5 years old by August 31, 2022) are encouraged to attend the 2022-2023 Kindergarten Orientation at 5:30PM on Tuesday, April 5! This is an IN-PERSON event.

This event is an opportunity for parents to learn more about Topeka Public Schools, meet teachers and staff, and tour their child's school.

Kindergarten Orientation will take place at each elementary school in the district, so please attend the event hosted at your child's school.

Upcoming April Events:

• QT With Your Cutie information will be sent home on Monday, April 4. Please call the school (785-329-7870) if you would like to have an activity sent home with your child.
• April 4 - 8 we will be celebrating the Week of the Young Child. More information will be coming soon!
  

Pine Ridge Prep students will take classroom group photos on Thursday, April 7. These photos are FREE OF CHARGE but must be ordered through the Strawbridge website (see the picture below for details and the order code) or by returning the order form that will come home with your student next week.

Topeka Public Schools is accepting registration for the 2022 Summer Enrichment Program. This program is FREE, runs for a half-day, and provides breakfast and lunch. Transportation is not provided. There are several sessions available for preschool aged students. If you are interested, you can view the session information and registration here.

Topeka Public School District uses a wide variety of communication tools to engage its families. You can get more information here.

As we continue to respond to the community spread, if your student has tested positive for COVID-19 or had a COVID exposure, please complete the TPS COVID-19 Self Reporting form located on our website, and a district health official will contact you within 24 hours. Your child should not return to school until given guidance from school health officials.

Families are asked to complete the self-reporting form for any COVID exposure. If a parent does not have internet access, they can call the COVID-19 reporting line at 785-438-HELP (785-438-4357) to report a COVID exposure. Schools will redirect families to the form on our web page or to the number to call.

Student dismissal is from 4:00-4:15 each day. Students must be picked up by this time. Continued patterns of late pick-up will be addressed by school administration.
