Year End Giving
As we near the close of another calendar year, we humbly ask for you're continued support by making an end-of-year donation that will support Brazosport Christian School as we continue our mission. It is our greatest joy to offer a challenging and comprehensive Christian education that encourages our students to explore interests, develop talents, and embrace opportunities that will prepare them for life after graduation. Your generosity is what fuels our work, and we are incredibly grateful for your partnership as we continue to provide an educational environment that fosters academic excellence, character development, and a lifelong love of learning.
Whether you are able to donate a small or large amount, your contribution matters. It's a powerful symbol of your commitment to Brazosport Christian School. We encourage everyone to participate, regardless of the amount, because together we can accomplish great things. Thank you in advance for your generosity and for being a vital part of our mission. We are grateful for your support and look forward to celebrating our collective achievement!
Secondary Finals
Mid-term finals are an important opportunity for 6th - 12th grade students to demonstrate their understanding of subject matters and to showcase the knowledge and skills they have acquired throughout the first half of the school year. These tests carry a significant weightage in the overall grading system, meaning that they can have a substantial impact on the students final grade. This weighting reflects the importance of the understanding and mastery of the subject matter, as it is essential for students to demonstrate their abilities in a comprehensive and cumulative manner. Please ensure that your child(ren) get plenty of rest and study time to prepare.

Ways to Serve
The holidays are quickly approaching and we have so much in store for our staff and students here at BCS. Please see below the events that PTF is hosting in the upcoming weeks. We understand that there is a lot going on in just a short amount of time, however we also know our families and we know that if we can all come together, we can make it the best holiday season for both our students and staff at BCS.
Christmas Luncheon for the BCS Staff
Wednesday December 13
We ask that you signup to supply food or volunteer to serve staff and students. Show off your best pasta recipe, whip up your favorite dessert, or join your student and their classmates and watch over the lunchroom while our staff enjoy a quiet and peaceful lunch. Help us show our appreciation to the wonderful staff of BCS.
Lil Shoppers Holiday Store
The week of December 5-8
The Little Shoppers Holiday Store offers students the opportunity to purchase gifts for their families. The shop will be set up in the Assembly Room before school, after school and during lunch hours. Volunteers will help the students shop and help decorate the store and hallways.
It is our hope that through this program the students will learn about handling money and receiving the joy of being able to select a special gift for a loved one.
Tales from the Manger
Friday December 15
We are switching up our previously known Polar Express Day to Tales from the Manger. Our Pk3-5th grade students will have an exciting day of different sessions around the school that give them an insight of the very first Christmas. We will have a petting zoo bus, hay rides, crafts, games, hot cocoa and more.
For our secondary students we are asking for donations in donuts, little Debbie’s and chocolate milk as a sweet treat for our students while testing this day.
Christmas Family Chapel
Tuesday December 12
BCS will be hosting a Family Christmas Chapel on Wednesday December 12 at Willow Drive Baptist with our 2nd grade Christmas Program directly following. PTF is providing cookies and hot cocoa and we need help assisting at the table.
Wassail Wednesday
We invite you to join us for Wassail Wednesday on December 6th to enjoy muffins and wassail with your children, as well as support our Student Council. Student Council is an important opportunity for students to develop important leaderships skills that will aid in personal growth for future success. Our BCS Student Council is involved in many ministry projects and volunteer opportunities that it raises funds for throughout the year. In the past, our student council has volunteered at organizations such as "Military Mom's", "PHC", "True to Life Ministries" and more. Volunteering isn't the only focus this group has, they also work together as a group (Led by Co-President's Hannah Kimbrough and Carson Catoe), to sponsor events such as Homecoming, Game Nights, and set up and tear down for most school sponsored events such as open houses and plays. This group of students has a heart for leadership and giving, and is a vital part of everyday life at BCS. Please join us as we support them in their endeavors.

10 Lies & The Truth - Written by Robby Crihfield
It is with great humility and gratitude that I present to you 10 Lies & The Truth.
10 Lies & The Truth is a book that I have been working on for quite some time. As we know, there is a fair bit of pain and suffering involved in personal growth of any kind. I got really good at lying to myself, and those around me, to keep myself comfortable. About four years ago God opened my heart, mind, and eyes to many truths that I chose to repress in favor of shallow lies. These truths have radically impacted my life.
My intention was to write down the things that I have been learning so that I could pass them down to my children. While I was working on it I let a few friends of mine read the first chapter and their overwhelming consensus was "If I think my own kids would benefit from these truths then I should make them public to help others".
I would be honored if you would take the time to read 10 Lies & The Truth. It is a short 150 pages and has a total read time of about 2 hours. I strategically broke it up into short chapters so that young adults could read it and not get bored. Each chapter addresses a lie that our society tells us, why it is damaging, and what the bible says about it. The book is riddled with personal experiences and my BCS family, as you have all played a huge role in my own personal growth.
If you read it, and like it, please leave a review on amazon. As I mention in the back of the book, this is just one of many ways that I get to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with the world.
~Robby Crihfield
Carnival Day

If you have any questions, please contact Anna Magallanes at amagallanes@1bcs.org
PISA Sign-ups
Dear BCS Families,
Statistical research has shown that students who participate in academic extracurricular activities score higher on achievement and assessment tests than those who do not participate in such academic programs. We also have found that participants whose parents are actively involved in working with their children in extracurricular activities have the greatest success in competition, as well as in their future academic studies.
Over the next few weeks, your child will have the opportunity to consider trying out for one or more of these Private Schools Interscholastic Association (PSIA) academic events- Art Memory, Number Sense and Spelling. Please follow the link below to complete the form indicating which events your student is interested in participating in. Also please let us know if you are available to volunteer as an event chair. Event chairs will help with once a week practices and administration of practice tests.

Since your school officials and academic coaches may select only a limited number of students at each grade level to compete at the district level in each event, we encourage you to discuss your child’s interest and the possibilities of entering these events. From your District Meet, one or two students will advance in each contest (some events are combined) to the PSIA State Meet. Our district meet is February 23rd at Our Lady of Victory in Victoria, TX. Further information may be found on the PSIA website www.psiaacademics.org .
We anticipate an exciting academic year!
Thank you for your participation.

Reindeer Scramble - December 16
Eagle Eyes Watch Program
Our school recognizes the importance of maintaining a safe and secure environment for everyone, and this year we have an opportunity for volunteers to dedicate their time to join our team as an Eagle Eye Watch Member. Eagle Eyes is a volunteer-based group at Brazosport Christian School tasked with providing a physical, armed security presence aimed at deterring criminal activity on campus. By joining this program, you will not only help create a safer environment, but also foster a sense of unity and responsibility within our school. Volunteers will need to be ready to perform consistent patrols of the campus perimeter, report criminal activity, attempt to de-escalate a threat verbally (when possible), and engage a threat with necessary force if needed. If you are interested in volunteering as a part of the Eagle Eyes Watch Program or have any questions, please contact security@1bcs.org or use the link below.
