Value of the Month: FRIENDSHIP
PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Dear SGB Parents,
FR. MADDEN
Last week, Fr. Madden, the pastor of St. Peter's-St. Mary's passed away. The SGB community sends our prayers and condolences to everyone at this time., especially to all of our SGB families who are parishioners at St. Peter's-St. Mary's. While I only knew Fr. Madden briefly, he cared deeply for the youth of our faith. His smile and warmth lit up any room he walked into. He will be greatly missed.

SGB LENTEN RETREAT
Last Friday, our SGB students participated in our annual LENTEN RETREAT where students attended Mass, prayed in the Adoration Chapel, received the sacrament of Reconciliation, and completed a variety of activities to further their preparation for Easter. Classes will have an opportunity to attend weekday Masses throughout Lent.
ALMSGIVING
As a school community, we focused on three areas during the LENTEN RETREAT, forgiveness, prayer and giving. Students will have an opportunity for ALMSGIVING this Thursday, February 29 by participating in our DRESS DOWN DAY to benefit the local food pantry in Haverstraw. Catholic Charities has asked all of the Catholic Schools in Rockland County to take this opportunity to give generously to our neighbors in need at this time. We are asking students to bring in cash or check donations. (Checks can be made out to CATHOLIC CHARITIES.)
