Join us on Saturday, August 5th for THE RUMBLE and help us kick off our 2023-2024 school year.

On Monday, August 7th from 4pm-6pm IHS will be hosting Knights in Training for all incoming freshman and anyone new to the IHS campus. There will be a brief meeting in the auditorium followed by time for students to meet teachers, and take a look at the various clubs/sports we offer.

There is still time to sign up for any upcoming camps.

Baseball camp will now be July 10th-13th from 8-10am.

We will begin issuing parking permits on the first day of school. Permits are not required to be on cars until September 5th. Due to staff trainings that are on-going, we will not accept in-person submissions or payments prior to the first day of school.

Please submit your completed parking registration form, a picture of the front of the student’s driver’s license, and the current proof-of-insurance for the vehicle, to IHSParking@friscoisd.org. The $50 yearly permit may be paid through www.onlineschoolfees.com. Once we’ve received the emailed documents and the fee has been paid online, a permit will be issued and delivered to your student’s classroom.

Families: We are so excited to start a PTSA at Independence High School for the 2023-2024 school year. We hope that the PTSA will bring support to the teachers and staff plus provide programs and leadership opportunities for the students. In order to start a PTSA, we need YOU to help! We are looking for parents and students who would be interested in helping us start the PTSA and possibly serve on the PTSA Board for the coming school year. If you are interested in getting involved, please complete the google form: https://forms.gle/h4cG38mN9JCFgR5u5 The planning committee will reach out to you with more information and timing. Be on the look-out for more information because the PTA is for everyone and we hope you will join us!
