Trunk or Treat 2023!
It is time to get ready for Trunk or Treat 2023! We ask that each child bring in 50 pieces (or more) of wrapped candy to populate the candy supply. Students should deliver this candy at the start of the day to the candy bins located at the front door entrance and the gym lobby entrance. Please make sure your candy is donated by October 23. Thank you!
Halloween Costumes
On Halloween, students should not wear their Halloween costumes or makeup to school. They will be able to get into costume in the afternoon. Costumes must adhere to the dress code. There should not be costumes that are bloody, appear dangerous, or promote the idea of harm. No weapon-like props may be used or brought to school. Questions can be directed to Mr. Young.

Decorators should plan to set up around 1:30pm with the first classes coming through around 2pm! We will supply the candy with parent donations. This activity is weather dependent and if cancellation is necessary because of weather we will notify families by Noon.

Chatfield P.I.E. Thanks Everyone for a Successful Fall Festival and Bike Rodeo
The Fall Festival and Bike Rodeo was another sucessful event provided by Chatfield P.I.E. We would like to thank everyone for their participation. At the October P.I.E. meeting it was discussed that both the date and the weather were not ideal for the event. We know many families that would have liked to attend had made previous plans. The P.I.E. group is taking that feedback in to consideration for the planning of future Fall Festival/Bike Rodeo programs. If you did not donate to the Fall Festival/Bike Rodeo fundraiser, it is still appropriate to donate an amount of your choice. These can be delivered or mailed to the office. Checks should be written to Chatfield School memo: PIE.

Chatfield Starts Key Club's - Builders Club
Builders Club is a student-led service organization for middle school students. Members in this program are students who are interested in service to their school, community and world. The local Kiwanis Club of Lapeer serves as the Builders Club sponsor. With the help of Kiwanis and Lapeer High School's Key Club, Builders Club will work to foster caring, empathy and good character in students, to develop students' service and leadership skills, provide opportunities for students to learn, engage, serve and lead to benefit Chatfield school, the local community and world.
It is exciting to see students from Lapeer High School's Key Club investing an interest in establishing Builders Club at Chatfield Middle School. While Mrs. Bierbusse serves as the Builders Club advisor, all meetings are student led by both Chatfield Middle School students and Lapeer High School students.
