Media Academy
Mar. 28, 2023- Jamie Gregory, a well-known educator in the field of media literacy, will share her experiences, resources, and strategies supporting media literacy instructional practices.
Participants will deepen their understanding and reinforce
the need for media and news literacy instruction;
lesson planning that integrates a variety of types of media, opportunities for students to analyze at a deeper level, and media that includes a variety of viewpoints and news sources;
ways to embed media and news literacy skills into lessons across disciplines; and
lateral and vertical reading skills into lessons.

Future Ready Iowa Last-Dollar Scholarship
The Future Ready Iowa Last-Dollar Scholarship is available to:
Students who recently completed an Iowa high school diploma, a homeschool program, or a high school equivalency diploma enroll at least part-time in an eligible program of study, apply for all other available state and federal grants and scholarships, and meet ongoing requirements.
Students (age 20 and older) who enroll at least part-time in a qualified program of study apply for all other available state and federal grants and scholarships and meet ongoing requirements.
Required Application
File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Important Dates
October 1: FAFSA will be available
August 1: FAFSA deadline for 2022-2023 School Year
