Meet Your Counselors
My name is Aaron Bronstein and I am the school counselor for students with last names A-K. This is my fifth year here at RSMS after spending my previous five years as a high school counselor in Knoxville. I originally grew up in Los Angeles, received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Arizona and then received my Master’s degree in School Counseling from the University of Tennessee. I am living here in Smyrna with my wife Stephanie and newborn son Aleph.

In the link below, you can view the different Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses and pathways offered at each high school in Rutherford County. It would also be beneficial to view your zoned high schools website for specific information regarding that school.
What do School Counselors do?
-Meet with individual students (one-on-one, short-term)
-Lead small groups (groups of 4-8 students, meet weekly for a set amount of time, variety of group topics)
-Work with teachers, parents, and administrators
-Support the overall school environment
School counselors are not therapists - we do not do long term therapy with students.
However, our goal is to meet with students to help them develop skills to deal with tough situations they may be facing at school or at home.
