Skylark Bookshop is hosting Mindy McGinnis
Skylark Bookshop is hosting acclaimed author (and local school favorite) Mindy McGinnis, who will be speaking about her rich and varied literary career on Wednesday, Dec. 6 at 6:30 pm. Mindy is the author of multiple novels that span many genres. From historical to fantasy, contemporary to gothic thriller, you can always count on Mindy’s books to deliver grit, truth, and an unflinching look at humanity and the world around us. This is going to be a fascinating evening with a vastly accomplished and engaging speaker!

Biology Club - Fri. Dec 1 - After School - Library
Biology club will hold their monthly meeting this Friday in the library after school. The Mizzou Raptor Rehab will be there to give a presentation on their program. There is a list of requested items to be donated to their program available through the biology club group me chat group.
Manga Club - Mon. Dec 4 - After School - Library
The Manga Club will meet on Monday, December 4th from 4:15-5:00 in the library.
Support HHS eSports!
The esports fall season is drawing to a close, with Rocket League and Overwatch both qualifying for the state games. They head to Springfield on Friday, Dec 1st and Saturday, Dec 2nd for their chance at a state title! Tune in to support your Kewpies!
Matches will be streamed online for free at www.twitch.tv/moseforg starting at 9am.

PROPOSE A PROM THEME
Any graduating Hickman student can propose a theme for prom!
We will accept all prom theme proposals until January 5th, 2024.
We will combine all themes and place them into a google survey for the senior class to view.
Seniors will have around 2 weeks in January to vote on a theme.
We will be begin purchasing theme decorations in February and March.
Get your Senior ads now! The deadline is Thursday, February 8!

KEWPIE AND KEWPIE FAMILIES:
Take the Pledge to End Distracted Driving and help our Kewpies stay safe.
Include Hickman High school as you take the pledge and help us win the AAA show down contest.
The 13th annual LAST KEWPIE STANDING event will be held on February 10, 2024, at Bur Oak Brewery.
Tickets are $60 for an individual ticket or 2 tickets for $110.
This event is for those 21 years and older.
Ticket price includes admission, dinner, silent & live auctions, as well as a chance to win $1,000, $2,000, or $3,000 in the reverse raffle!
The doors open at 5pm and the reverse raffle starts at 6pm. In order to participate in the reverse raffle, you MUST be inside the door by 6pm. You are more than welcome to come after 6pm; however, you will not be able to participate in the reverse raffle. After 6pm, you can participate in the silent and live auction, and other games throughout the event. If tickets are available after the reverse raffle starts, they can be purchased; however, participation in the raffle will not be allowed. We are looking forward to a fun evening of supporting over 600 scholar athletes at Hickman High School!

National PTA Reflections Program
Show off your creativity through the National PTA Reflections Program. This year’s theme is “I Am Hopeful Because…”
Submit your completed works of art expressing why you’re hopeful in one or all of the available arts categories including dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography and visual arts.
