As a reminder, if you are picking up in the car rider line, please make sure your number/car tag is displayed appropriately so it can be seen by all staff on duty. If you need a replacement car tag, please notify Mrs. Bowden in the Main Office. If you have lost your car tag, please alert the Main Office immediately. Thank you for helping to keep our children safe!

• National School Counseling Week will be celebrated February 5-9, 2024, to focus public attention on the unique contribution of school counselors within U.S. school systems. Thank you Mrs. McFalls and Mrs. Broom for all you do to support our students and staff through social and emotional learning.

• Friday, February 9, 2024 is a 2-Hour Early Dismissal Day for students at 12:45 p.m. On February 9, 2024, our PTO will be sponsoring a Valentine Dance. Please see the flyer below to RSVP.

Our next Coffee with the Principal event will take place on Thursday, February 22, 2024. Click here to recommend any topic you would like. Thank you for your input.

We are now into Quarter 3 of the school year. Report cards and narratives will be sent home with your child on Tuesday, February 6, 2024. Please check book bags and take home folders for updates. If you have concerns for your child's progress or need at home resources, please reach out to your child's teacher.

February 20th-23rd will be Black History Spirit Week. Thursday, February 22, 2024, we will have our Black History Program at GKES @ 9:00 a.m. 2nd & 3rd Grad Parents (only) invited to attend. Program begins at 9:00am, parents please arrive after 8:30am to allow for all the morning school traffic to disperse. Parents will be permitted in the gym starting at 8:45am.

SMCPS is once again offering School-Based Counseling Support in the evening for SMCPS students. Counseling support focuses on the following areas: Healthy Relationships, Social Skills, Self-Esteem, Stress Management, Worry, Sadness, and Emotional Regulation. Services will be located at Greenview Knolls Elementary School and Margaret Brent Middle School on Tuesday evenings from 4-7:30 p.m. Please complete the Parent Contact Form for Evening Counseling to request services.
