Everything You Need to Know for the coming week.
April 31, 2023
a note from the principal
I hope everyone enjoyed the weekend despite the gloomy Sunday weather.
Next week, May 8-12, is teacher appreciation week and I can't let this week arrive without acknowledging how grateful I am to work with such a wonderful group of educators who give their best to our students each and every day. Please see below for all the fun festivities the PTA has planned for our staff.

This Wednesday is an early release day and school will dismiss at 12:15 PM.

Thanks to all who filled out the PTA survey. We will be sharing the results at the meeting on Monday, as we start the planning process for next school year.
Teacher Appreciation Week: May 8th -12th
The PTA has planned many ways to show our teachers just how much we love them during Teacher Appreciation Week on May 8th-12th. Please see the graphic below for activities each day of Teacher Appreciation Week.
Book Fair:
Thanks to all the PTA volunteers who helped make the book fair such as success—and a big thank you to Ms. Hartley and Ms. Keeler for all they did to make it happen! We are so grateful for their efforts and heard from many parents and students how much they enjoyed shopping.
Kindergarten Registration
Kindergarten registration is now in full swing, so please be sure to register your upcoming kindergartener as soon as possible. The link for enrollment is: https://www.dpsnc.net/Page/423 You will have the option to upload your child’s enrollment documents to the portal or you can bring them in person. It is extremely helpful for us if you complete the enrollment sooner, rather than later. If you have questions, please contact Leah Rubow at 919-560-3913, option 3 or email leah_rubow@dpsnc.net
