Students in Ms. Mulchrone's Grade 5 Class has been reading Out of my Mind by Sharon M. Draper. In correlation with this moths PBIS focus, Kindness, students created word webs about the power of their words.

We are excited about our D123 Respect week which will take place on Tuesday, April 19th to Friday, April 22nd.

The purpose of this week is for us as a school and district to talk about, think about, and focus on what respect is and how all of us as individuals can exhibit respect toward one another.

This week will include discussion and mini lessons on respect. Additionally, each day will have a dress up theme to correlate with the days mini lesson.

Handouts are being sent home today and you can reference the image attached.

We are excited to welcome back our District 123 Art Show. This year's event will be held on Thursday, April 28th from 6:30 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. It will be held in the Oak Lawn-Hometown Middle School Gymnasium.

For those that do not know, Oak Lawn-Hometown Middle School is located 5345 W. 99th Street.

Your students should have received a handout for ordering next year's school supplies in their Take Home material today.

Orders are due July 4th but there is a discount available if you order by June 1st!

Registration for District 123 Summer Program is now open! We have some wonderful offerings available for our students. Click on the picture or the link provided to learn more information about specific programs or to register.

Our testing window for the Illinois Assessment for Readiness (IAR) is open. The assessment focuses on mathematics and literacy and is given to our students in Grade 3, Grade 4, and Grade 5 (as well as our middle school students in Grade 6, Grade 7, and Grade 8).

The assessment itself is computer based and contains 5 total tests - three of them in Mathematics and two of them in literacy. Our testing schedule has students taking one test per day with their teacher.
