WEEKLY PAWS
NOVEMBER 2, 2023
PRINCIPAL'S NOTES
Friday, November 3 is a scheduled Digital Learning Day (DLD) for all students.
This is the second of four at-home asynchronous learning days this school year that will provide additional planning time for teachers.
Note that students can access lessons in eCLASS but will not have virtual class time with their teachers on these scheduled DLDs.
To ensure that students have a nutritious breakfast and lunch to fuel their learning, our bus drivers will be on the road and at every bus stop to deliver meals prepared by School Nutrition Program staff.
On Friday, November 3, GCPS will provide meals via bus distribution. Families should expect buses to run their routes starting at approximately 10:45 a.m., beginning with the first stop on the route. These delivered meals are provided at no cost to families, and are provided to anyone 18 years old and under.

GOLDEN TICKET CHALLENGE
WE NEED YOUR CANDY WRAPPERS!!
CCES is participating in the National Wildlife Federations Trash to Treasure campaign! Help us keep trash out of landfills!
Earth Patrol will be collecting empty candy wrappers AFTER Halloween.
- Students should bring in empty wrappers and drop them off either in our Trash to Treasure collection bin (located near the Front Office) OR in their classrooms.
- Teachers can collect the wrappers and send them down to Ms. Santana anytime before November 10.
Did you know that over 35 different languages are spoken in the homes of our Camp Creek Cubs?
That diversity is part of what makes our school beautiful, but also makes it challenging to be sure that we can communicate with every parent effectively.
If you speak English and a language other than English and would be willing to volunteer your time and skills to help, please contact our Parent Liaison, Anna Porter, at anna.porter@gcpsk12.org or (770) 806-7804.
Current translation needs are:
- multilingual help at school events;
- translating small forms for school use.
HEALTH MANAGEMENT PLANS
As we transition from Summer to Fall, we tend to see more issues with asthma and other medical conditions in combination with the common cold.
With that in mind, please remember to bring in emergency medications – such as inhalers, EpiPens, etc. – and complete a Health Management Plan for your student if they have a known medical condition.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to the Camp Creek ES School Clinic Worker, Ms. Rita Bowers at (770) 806-3780 or rita.bowers@gcpsk12.org .
