Smart Pass Information
Beginning 9/6/22, Mountain View will begin using the digital hall pass system SmartPass. SmartPass is a digital hall pass system that replaces traditional hall passes such as sign-out sheets, wooden blocks, passbooks, and lanyards.
It provides administrators an accounting of which students are outside of the classroom during the school day. In case of emergencies such as fires, severe weather, or building intruders, administrators have real-time access to this critical information. Overall, the SmartPass history of a student will lead to more effective and informative parent-teacher conferences, as well as ensuring students are where they should be - in the classroom learning.
This new SmartPass system helps Mountain View go contact-free by eliminating common touch surfaces such as wooden blocks, shared paper sign out sheets, pencils, etc. It also can automatically limit the number of students in the bathroom with minimal intrusion to class instruction. Plus, it can perform contact tracing to get a list of students that were in the room at the same time as another student.
Students and staff can access SmartPass from their school-provided device at www.smartpass.app/login.
For more information, please visit the vendor’s website at www.smartpass.app.
Pick Up & Drop Off
Please drop your student off in the loop and make sure they exit out of the right side door for their safety. Even if students are going to the gym, they should remain in the car until you’ve reached the top of the loop near the flagpole. This allows us to maximize our space in the lot and keep everyone moving. Also, just a reminder to use one lane when pulling into the school. Please refer to the map below for more detailed information.
