AUTOMOTIVE ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN

I recognized my passion for the field of automotive mechanics with help from my educators at North High School. Mr. Siver was my teacher in courses for Electronics, Small Engines, and Automotive 1 & 2. These courses were essential to spark my interest in the automotive field and bring me to where I am today. I dove head first into my career with ASE training and certifications after high school along with on the job training. I now have experience as a certified automotive technician and as a service consultant. I have achieved things I never would have thought possible! I have performed major repairs on Bentley, Rolls Royce, and Porsche vehicles to name a few. I couldn’t have achieved these things without the experience I received in my regular and elective courses at North High School. A huge thank you to our educators for all that you do! I wouldn’t be here without you!

Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. Includes precision instrument makers who fabricate, modify, or repair mechanical instruments. May also fabricate and modify parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.

Tolerance Tool Tool Inc. is an innovative mold manufacturing company, known for exceeding demands in the mold-making industry. Tolerance Tool provided an internship to Moses Nyakondo, a 2019 North High graduate. This paid internship opportunity provided in depth exposure and training toward a career in the advanced manufacturing industry.

North St Paul Automotive hires ASE Certified Auto Technicians. ASE stands for National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence. In addition to passing an ASE Certification test, automotive technicians must have two years of on the job training (OJT) or one year of OJT and a two-year degree in automotive repair to qualify for certification.
