National Kidney Foundation || Lion's Club Tab Drive

Mrs. Peterman’s 5th grade class at RPI is doing a can tab drive to raise money for the National Kidney Foundation. We would like families and friends to collect pop can tabs(or any beverage can) and send them to put in containers at school. Just the TABS please, we don’t need the whole can. The drive will start on Monday, October 4th and it will go until Friday, December 10. It will help a lot of people. Look for containers in the RPI school. Every pound raises more money. Thank you for helping!! 😃

The Positivity Project

This week's character strength: INTEGRITY

Look above...Integrity is defined as doing what is right or expected. When I chat with kids they also say that it is doing what is right even when no one is looking.

We will work hard all year to ingrain this in our kids. Let's do it together...for them... for us all!

After School Programs Return!!!

If your son/daughter is planning on going on the field trip on Tuesday, their goal needs to be to Mrs. Peel by the end of the day on Monday!

We are excited to announce the return of Endurance Adventure and Yoga after school!

Endurance Adventure: Mondays - Pick up 3:45

Yoga: Wednesdays - Pick up 3:45

We also have some counseling brochures by the front door in the main office. More descriptions are included!

RIDE WITH PRIDE

We are excited to announce that we are joining forces with the Muskegon Township Police Department, Muskegon ALI and many other schools to be a RIDE WITH PRIDE School! We have already established a partnership with Radium Photo, West Michigan Driving Academy, Assured Comfort Heating and Cooling and Alma Ford to provide gift cards and a bike for those students who live by our Ride With Pride Pledge.

FREE SCHOOL MEALS FOR ALL

Great News! All students can receive free breakfast and lunch from the start of school until further notice. Important details:

Fill out your Free/Reduced Application. CLICK HERE. Even if you think you don't qualify, the rules have changed and other IMPORTANT school programs are based off of this information. Thanks for doing this!

Menu changes for this week:

Monday Lunch: Cheesy breadsticks w/ marinara dipping sauce instead of cheeseburger and bbq meatball subs

Thursday Lunch: Chicken nuggets instead of chicken drummies

Friday Breakfast: cinnamon cream cheese bagels instead of egg & cheese sandwich

A La Carte Snacks at Lunch

Students will have the option to purchase (if you allow it) a la carte items from the lunch line. These items WILL cost extra money, so students will need money in their account or to bring money with them. They will NOT be allowed to charge it to their account if there is no money in it.
