The Pout-Pout Fish by Deborah Diesen is about a fish that goes around with a pout on his face. All of his friends try to make his pout go away but the fish says that he is “a pout-pout fish with a pout-pout face and he spreads the dreary-wearies all over the place.” One of his friends finally finds a way to turn his pout upside down.
The Pout-Pout Fish Goes to School by Deborah Diesen
A long time ago, Pout-Pout Fish went to school for the very first time. He wandered from classroom to classroom, never able to do the work and he believed that he was incapable. As he tried to leave, his teacher found him and brought him into his preschool class and he discovered that he could do it, and so could his classmates.
The Pout-Pout Fish in the Big-Big Dark by Deborah Diesen
Mr. Fish wants to help his friend Ms. Clam when she loses her pearl, but though he's fast as a sailfish, as smart as dolphin, and as strong as a shark, Mr. Fish has a secret: he's scared of the dark! Very young children will swim along with Mr. Fish as he journeys deep into the ocean to new and mysterious places. They will discover, as Mr. Fish does, the power of friendship to light the way through the big-big dark.
