Returning Student Registration on InfoSnap

If you have not already done so, please complete the returning student registration process using the information provided to you via email on August 17, 2022. Completing this process is critical for registration purposes, including providing important information for contact purposes and student safety. If you have any questions please contact Judy Ursuliak in the main office at jursuliak@nrsd.net.

Returning student registration must be completed by September 9, 2022.

Bus Information & Routes

As we prepare for the opening of the 2022-2023 school year, we have some important items to share with you regarding bus transportation. Our goal is to create a safe and smooth transportation experience for all of students and we have continued our partnership with Dee Bus to accomplish that goal.

Bus routes were emailed to all families at the end of last week, please review and if you should have questions or concerns regarding the location of your child’s stop, please follow the School Bus Resolution Protocol 2022-2023. Dee Bus has notified us that all routes have had some level of adjustment from last year. Therefore, checking your child’s stop location, time, and bus number prior to the first day of school is critical.

Lancaster Construction- As many district residents are aware, there is ongoing construction in the 70/117/Main Street area of Lancaster. While there may be lane closures during construction, this concern is expected to be mitigated by the stipulation that no lane closures are to occur before 8:30 am or after 2:30 pm on school days. Dee Bus has reworked routes to minimize the impact on bus routes. This includes the creation of two shared runs of LBMS and NRHS students. The purpose of this route sharing is to reduce the projected route times from 60 minutes to 30 minutes. Building administration at both LBMS and NRHS have been consulted regarding this shift. Dee Bus has confirmed that arrival times will not create tardy situations for students at LBMS and drivers are completing multiple practice runs to ensure we can support an on-time arrival at LBMS. We will continue to update families as we receive any construction updates that may impact routes in the future.

Golf Tournament- There is a large golf tournament at The International in Bolton on Labor Day weekend. The district has been in close communication with the Town of Bolton and Dee Bus regarding the possible impact on routes due to road closures around the course on Friday, September 2nd. We are securing credentials for bus routes that need to use those roads and anticipate only minor delays to those routes on that day.

Student Drop-Off and Pick-Up

For those families driving their child to/from school, please be aware of the following:

Parent Drop-Off - Arrive as close to 7:35 as possible and NO EARLIER than 7:25 to line up in parent drop-off line behind the back of Luther Burbank. This will help to ensure that cars do not back up on Rte. 70 and interfere with the flow of traffic.
Students in parent drop-off queue will NOT be marked tardy.
Parent Pick-Up - Arrive as close to 2:15 and NO EARLIER than 2:05 to line up in parent drop-off line behind the back of Luther Burbank. Once again, this will help to ensure that cars do not back up on Rte. 70 and interfere with traffic.

School Lunch Program

The universal free lunch program has been extended through the 2022-2023 school year. As a result, school lunches (and breakfasts) will be offered at no charge to all students this school year. Please be aware that this offer extends to one lunch serving per day. Should a student request a second lunch serving, their account will be charged accordingly.

All students need to register for a lunch account on My School Bucks to receive their daily lunch. Families can register by selecting “Lunch Menu and Payment” under Quick Links on the homepage of our web site nrsd.net.

PowerSchool Parent Access

PowerSchool was closed for the summer as we built our schedule and enrolled students in their classes for new school year. The Parent Portal reopened last week. If you have any questions about PowerSchool Parent Access please contact Judy Ursuliak in our school office at jursuliak@nrsd.net.
