We honored the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary by having our Eighth grade lead us in an outdoor rosary for our October Faith Family event. It was a chilly, but beautiful time together meditating with Mary. We had fellowship with our families followed by Mass led by our second-grade class. A parent came to Father and me after Mass and described Holy Cross School as a very special place. I think we all can agree that we all feel the same way. Today was a good day!
With each passing week, the operations of our school are feeling more and more like what life was like before the pandemic. Looking at our October calendar has us filled with excitement about all the upcoming traditions back on the calendar for the first time in a long time. One of our favorite events, Beer, Bacon, and BBQ are back this weekend. Please consider attending.
RED Monday is on Monday, October 10th. Students can wear a Chiefs shirt with a complete out-of-uniform for $1. We sponsor a student through Unbound from Guatemala named Elvis. During our Faith Families, we write letters to Elvis and help him receive the resources he needs to be successful. It is a wonderful school-wide stewardship project. We are looking forward to supporting the KC Chiefs while fundraising for those in need.
Additionally, we have Twilight Madness on Thursday, October 13th. We are excited to gather again as a community for a great cause. We look forward to having our 8th grade perform for us at halftime. This is Holy Cross tradition and we encourage everyone to come to this family-friendly event. We always share tons of laughs while making memories for a lifetime. Stay warm this weekend!
