Notes from the Apr. 20, 2022 board reorganization meeting
The Ferguson-Florissant School District Board of Education held its reorganization meeting on Wednesday, Apr. 20, 2022. Following the election, school boards must act to install newly elected members and reorganize the Board and must do so, pursuant to state law, within 14 days of the election. During the reorganization meeting, the newly elected Board members will take an oath or affirmation.
The Ferguson-Florissant School District Board of Education held its reorganization meeting Wednesday, April 20. Dr. Sheila Powell-Walker was re-elected to a three-year term and Jillian Dunn was elected to a three-year term on April 5. Read more here.
- Acceptance of the results by the St. Louis County Board of Election Commissioners to declare the election of Dr. Sheila Powell-Walker and Jillian Dunn each for three-year terms to the FFSD Board of Education.
- During their election of officers, board members voted Dr. Courtney Graves as president, Tiffany Bush as vice president, Dr. Kevin M. Martin as secretary, and Terry Tyson as assistant secretary. Jillian Dunn, Dr. Donna Paulette-Thurman and Dr. Sheila Powell-Walker will serve as directors.
- The election of Missouri School Boards Association delegates, including Terry Tyson and Dr. Donna Paulette-Thurman as delegates and Dr. Kevin M. Martin as alternate.

Leslie is one of the longest-serving board members of any school board in the state of Missouri.
