Principal's Report - Dr. Phillip Reavis
By the Numbers
The scores are in and Oakview continues to blow away national averages on reading and math assessments! The 50th percentile is “average” for a student across the United States. At Oakview, our average student is scoring in the following ranges:
READING 77th – 80th percentile
MATH 80th – 84th percentile
This high level of performance results in over 52% of our students at 3rd-5th grade qualifying for gifted education and increases the overall rigor in all classrooms. As we move through the school year, teachers use test score data like this to set goals for students as we partner with parents to improve student performance! Keep up the great work, everyone!!!
Dads Volunteer at Oakview
Over 550 fathers, grandfathers, students, faculty, and volunteers attended the annual kick off for Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads Of Great Students)! Watch D.O.G.S. are dads who take a day off from their regular job and volunteer working with the students at Oakview.
