For the first time, Boone CSD has made the Iowa AP Index which recognizes the top 50 schools in Iowa who provide AP courses and have a high frequency of students taking AP exams. We are #34. Here is the list (below) if you would like to see it. We're among 4A and 5A school districts who offer more AP courses than we do. We are also ranked above several districts similar to our size. This is testament to all the hard work of our AP teachers and students who have taken on the challenge and rigor of AP.

Mark your calendars on Tuesday, Nov. 15th for the 5th & 6th grade orchestra and band concerts! 5th grade orchestra and band will perform their informance concert at 6:30 p.m. and the 6th grade band and orchestra will perform their America concert at 7:30 p.m. in the BMS gym!

Welcome to iJAG! We are currently serving 84 sophomores through seniors. We began our 2022 school year considering who we are as students by creating Personalized License Plates. We took inventory about our likes and dislikes, our career goals, and support system. Then we practiced public speaking by presenting this information to our classmates. This was a stretching experience for many students but very valuable. Our next PBL topic covered our student led governing body, our Career Association. Each student has to run for a specific committee (leadership, service, civic, social or career). We also ran an election for 9 officer positions and held our annual Initiation and Installation Ceremony.

The Toreador Theatre cast and crew is asking for donations of food, treats, and cleaning supplies for the Boone Humane Society who they have partnered with this year. Help our Toreador Theatre Cast make a difference in our Community!

'DORS Award: Do you know someone in your school or department who really "gets it" when it comes to exceptional customer service? If so, the Boone Community School District wants to recognize them to having a positive impact on students, staff and parents. Looking for a little bit of EDGE in your wardrobe? Look no further! The EDGE gear store is now open! The store is open now until November 7th at noon. All orders will be delivered to the school--watch for an update on when things are ready. We would love to see you in sporting some EDGE swag!

We'd like to introduce you to our newest intern, Maggie Johnston, from Boone High School. Maggie will serve as one of the marketing interns for the 2022-2023 school year. We are fortunate to have her on our team through the Boone EDGE program. This program allows all students to have opportunities for work-based learning regardeless of career interests, passions, and talents. EDGE offers experiences that provide a continuum of support for work-based learning.
