A Message from the Principal
Dear Greeley Families,
Although it is quite chilly (and we have projected snow coming this week!), it is that time of year when The Winnetka Public Schools administrative team begins making plans for the next school year. Greeley School has had healthy student numbers these past few years, which means some grade levels gain a whole classroom! This can result in additional hiring and teachers changing the grade levels they teach.
One key piece to this planning is ensuring that our projected numbers are as accurate as possible. This is particularly true for our kindergarten class, as it can be less difficult to predict enrollment numbers without families beginning (and finishing) the registration process. Having accurate numbers early allows us to attract the best candidates and make the best decisions for internal movement between grades. Our larger Greeley community is undoubtedly well-networked, so please consider encouraging any families with incoming kindergarten students to register as soon as possible!
On a separate note, we are excited to begin our One School One Book. A very special thank you goes out to the PTO team that made this happen! Thank you for partnering with our school to offer families an engaging reading experience!
Sincerely,
Joshua Swanner
Principal
