Metro Cards
School Supplies
Unlike elementary and middle school, at Edison we don't require an extensive list of supplies.
Students will minimally need the following:
- Binder
- Loose leaf
- Dividers
- Pens
- #2 Pencils
- Highlighter
- Calculator Model: TI 84 CE (not mandatory, but will be needed for math class)
* Should there be any item in particular that a teacher requires, teachers will let students know well in advance.
School ID & OSIS #
All students should bring their Student ID cards. If a student doesn't have one, students should please be sure that they know their OSIS # / Student ID# (it's the same).
Incoming students who are new to our school will receive their ID cards in the coming weeks. Students coming from non-DOE schools who don't know their OSIS # will receive assistance on the first day of school.
Cell Phones & Headphone/AirPods Usage Policy at Edison
- Cellphone use is not permitted in the classroom or in the hallways.
- Headphones/AirPods are not to be worn in school. Should a student have them on, the item will be confiscated and a parent/family member listed on the blue card will need to pick up the item.
Emergency Cards, Laptops and other Forms
Many families have received their Operoo access and have filled out their emergency information and other forms.
- Parents/Family members listed on the blue card are required to complete the device agreement form on Operoo before your child receives a laptop.
- If you have not received your usernames and passwords for the Operoo system, you must email Mr. Boxer at aboxer2@schools.nyc.gov. Please be sure to include your last name, first name and OSIS # within the email to expedite the process.
