4H STEM Challenge
- This yearβs National 4-H STEM Challenge will take students on a Galactic Quest! Activities focus on the mysteries and adventures of space exploration. Students will explore STEM topics ranging from physics and engineering to computer science and space agriculture. Kits are now available! Drone Zone
- Explore Unmanned Aerial System best practice, FAA certification how-to, and career opportunities by joining the DRONE ZONE on October 23rd at the Hall County Extension Office in Grand Island. 4H Judges Registration
- Judging provides valuable learning opportunities for 4-H members and is an important part of the 4-H project experience. If youβre interested in becoming a 4-H judge, be sure to complete the statewide registration process by September 30th. While not required, this process does get your name added to the 2022 list of judges. That list is available to 4-H staff across the state who are looking to hire new judges for fairs, contests, and shows. Register now at 4h.unl.edu/judges.

State 4-H Rodeo Deadline 09/17/2021!
- The entry deadline for the State 4-H Rodeo is coming up on September 17th! This new event offers youth an opportunity to showcase their skill in working with their equine partner through speed and agility contests, including goat tying, barrel racing, pole bending, tie-down roping, break-a-way roping, and dally team roping. The State 4-H Rodeo will be hosted at the Lancaster Event Center in Lincoln on Saturday, October 9th. Learn more at 4h.unl.edu/state-rodeo.

Registration: 8:00am to 12:00pm. Shoot anytime between start and end times.
SUNDAY September 19 - State 4-H Outdoor 600 Target Tournament
Registration: 8:00am. Shooting starts promptly at 8:30am
Cost: Nebraska State 4-H Tournament - $15 each day per shooter. Pay at the event site.

4-H Shooting Sports Training
- Volunteers have the opportunity to become certified as an adult (21 years and older) or apprentice (14-20 years old) leader in the Shotgun discipline. There is a minimum number of participants required to offer this workshop. Workshop participants will learn under expert instruction from members of the Nebraska State 4-H Shooting Sports Training Team.
- The registration fee is $110.00 per person for initial certification and those individuals adding an additional discipline except for Apprentice Instructors. The registration fee for Apprentice Instructors is $90 for this workshop and due by October 6th. This fee includes meals, supplies and program materials. The registration fee after October 6th is $160. Participants must make their own lodging arrangements. Registration on Saturday runs from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.

The Cass County 4-H Council seeks to promote and support positive youth development and club experience for youth in Cass County through offering grants to support club efforts. Grant applicants are encouraged to identify needs of the county, club, members, leaders, and/or volunteers.
