Hello Vanguardians!!

Welcome back for another amazing school year! The Vanguard Leadership team has been hard at work this summer planning to make this the best year yet for the Vanguard Team! We hope you will join us on August 18th for our Vanguard Kick-off event! It is going to be a lot of fun, but we need your help to pull it all off without a hitch! Please complete the form below to let us know if you can help. Can't make it on the 18th... don't worry, we have ways you can help even if you won't be there!

For those of you planning to attend, please register in Edivate by Friday, August 10th. Directions for registering can be found in this edition of the Vanweekly.

We are super excited about this year's kick-off event, but we only have space for 200 people to attend. Don't miss out on this great opportunity. Be sue to register in Edivate today! We will open up registration to people outside of Vanguard next week, so be sure to register by Friday, August 10th at the latest. Participants will recieve a $100 stipend for attending!

Registration Instructions:

• Log into the Employee Portal
  
• Locate the Edivate icon in My Apps
  
• Click on the three horizontal lines in the green bar on the upper left of your screen, next to the apple
  
• Choose Learning Targets
  
• Click on Catalogs
  
• You should see a list of the Fulton County catalogs – the first is Human Resources
  
• Select the Instructional Technology catalog
  
• Choose the class title (click on the word TITLE in the grey bar to sort alphabetically)
  
• Click the green plus sign.
  
• The class will no longer show under Catalog. Instead, it will be under the Transcript tab
  

If you later decide not to attend, would you please return to Edivate and remove the class from your transcript so someone else may take that seat.

Cancellation Instructions:

• Log in to Edivate
  
• Click on the three horizontal lines in the green bar on the upper left of your screen, next to the apple
  
• Choose Learning Targets
  
• Click on Catalogs
  
• Click on the Transcript tab
  
• Find the training session and click the Remove (Red “X”) button
  

If you were a new member last year and have not received an iPad, you will be able to get it on the day of the Kick-off! Here's what you need to do:

1. Register for the Vanguard Kickoff AND Vanguard iPad Pickup in Edivate. (Follow instructions for registering in the section above.)
2. Complete the FCS Vanguard Device Agreement (below).
3. Arrive at the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center between 8:00-9:00 a.m. on August 18th.

In order to pick up your iPad, you will need to sign the FCS Vanguard Device Agreement. Please take a moment to review the agreement below. You can either sign it ahead of time or there will be kiosks set up to sign prior to getting your iPad at the event.

Please be aware that if you do not sign the agreement, you will not be issued your iPad.
