Notes from our Principal
Hello Driscoll community,
No School Tomorrow. Enjoy Presidents Day holiday on Monday. We will return to school on Tuesday, February 20 on our regular schedule. Thank you for ensuring your student is on campus on time. School begins at 8:25am. Attendance matters and we appreciate you having your students to campus each day and on time.
A special Thank You to our S2S and PALs students for ALL the Random Acts of Kindness this past week! Students in these clubs helped spread kindness with words of encouragement, picked up trash around the campus, helped the custodial team, gave gifts to students, provided tissues to teachers, and cooked/served breakfast for the faculty and staff. It was a very KIND week of efforts by them all.
This week, our library is hosting the Book Fair. Please see the flyer link below to set up an e-wallet for purchases. Thank you for supporting our library program.
Please review the many details included in this week's Driscoll News. If you have specific questions, please reach out so we can assist with those items. We are only three weeks away from Spring Break!
Mrs. Lori Murach

What a Kind week of giving to others!
Immunization Information
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL CURRENT SIXTH GRADE STUDENTS
In accordance with Texas immunization requirements, current 6th grade students who will be in 7th grade for the 2024-2025 school year, need the following immunizations to start school:

- One booster dose if at least 5 years have passed since the last tetanus containing vaccine was received.
Meningococcal vaccine (required)
- One dose of meningococcal vaccine.

Students must have a complete immunization record on file with the school nurse on or before the first day of school. Students with incomplete immunization records will not be issued a schedule or allowed to attend classes. Please submit an updated immunization record, including immunizations received over the summer, to the school nurse as soon as possible.

You may drop it off in person or email the record to sharri9@neisd.net . Vaccine records must include the student’s name and date of birth. Attendance is Key to Success!
Your child’s attendance is key to your child’s learning and success. It is important that your child brings a note if your child is absent. Our campus attendance goal is 96%. Our attendance last week was 91.3%. Please help us meet the 96% attendance by making sure your child is at school every day.
Eclipse is coming April 8 - Consider Donating Glasses!
The eclipse is coming April 8. At Driscoll, we will have an adjusted bell schedule on that day to allow all students and staff to go outside and see the eclipse in action. Each of our core area classes will be participating in some eclipse curriculum lessons on that day as well. If you would like to assist and contribute to purchasing eclipse glasses for use on that day, click the photo below, click this link, or scan the QR code and contribute to donating glasses by March 1. Thank you in advance.
