Please read in full as there is a lot of information.

Beginning Monday, August 8 students will be able to access their schedule through Infinite Campus for the upcoming school year. Students wishing to make a schedule change request may do so by completing the Google form. All schedule change requests will be reviewed by counselors. We will work to accommodate requests based on availability. Requests must be submitted by Friday, August 19th at 3 p.m.

Lunch schedules will be posted late August.

If you are having trouble accessing Infinite Campus and are in need of tech support, please complete the IT Help Desk Form.

Counselors will be available for Curbside Counseling Wednesday, August 17th from 4 – 7 p.m. to provide students an opportunity to meet and connect with their counselor prior to the start of the school year. Counselors will be located at the student (east) entrance during that time.

Student Council will be welcoming new 10th-12th grade students to PLHS with a pizza party.

Information will be e-mailed to parents/guardians.

School pictures are on Tuesday, August 30th from 12:00pm - 8:00pm.

All PLHS Students 9th - 11th grade and NEW 12th grade students are required to have their picture taken. You are not required to purchase photos, the photo is required for student IDs.

School dress code applies to school pictures.

Activities fair will be Tuesday, August 30th from 12:00pm - 8:00pm

Come learn more about many of the clubs and activities offered at PLHS! Tables and booths will be set up in the commons for you to ask questions and sign up! Additionally, students will take their school pictures during this time, walk their schedule and find their classes, and purchase students passes for athletic events.

New students to Prior Lake Savage Area Schools grades 9-12 can pick up their district issues iPad on Tuesday, August 30th from 12:00pm -6:00pm

All 9th grade students will have freshman orientation as their first day of school on Tuesday, September 6th.

All 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students first day of school will be Wednesday, September 7th.

Monday, September 12th from 5:00pm - 8:00pm

A parent/guardian is required to contact the school regarding any attendance-related absences. Your options to do so are:

• PLHS Attendance Form (for FULL DAY absences ONLY) can be found on the Prior Lake High School website (Green Button on the right side)

• The attendance form is very specific to which email is used. It MUST match the primary email listed in Infinite Campus. Please contact student service if you need to update your email address.

• E-Mail: If an absence is not for the full day, email HS Attendance with students First and Last Name, date of absence, reason and length of time.

• Call the attendance line to speak with someone and/or leave a detailed message 952-226-8601

• In the voice message, please leave the student’s name (spelling out the last name), grade, a call back phone number and details regarding the absence.

Student Early Dismissal Passes - “Blue Passes”

Students are required to have a blue attendance pass when leaving the building early. The pass should be picked up at the attendance office during the school day and will be their pass to exit class early, if necessary. Blue passes are required to exit the building, along with their school ID.

• To ensure your student is able to get a pass in advance, please notify the attendance office at least 60 minutes prior to the time.

Student Late Arrival Passes

Students must check in with the attendance office when arriving late to school. This will ensure that their attendance is up-to-date (or updated) and accurate.

• To excuse a late arrival you can contact the attendance office, send the student with a note and/or have the student provide a doctor's note if it is due to a morning appointment.

Pick-Up/Drop-Off Location

During school hours, pick-up and drop-offs are ONLY allowed at the Lower Eastside doors (student entrance). Students need to check out/in at the campus supervisor desk located at this entrance. The north entrance is for students who have parked in that lot.

• Prior to the first day of school, we ask that you update your student’s health history in Infinite Campus so we are able to accurately assess your student if they visit the Health Office.
• If your student requires medication (prescription and/or over-the-counter) during the school day, please complete the attached Medication Form and return it to the Health Office.
• If your student has a health condition such as allergies, asthma, diabetes, or seizures, we ask that you provide an updated copy of your student’s physician ordered Health Plan or Emergency Action Plan. These forms can be found on our website.

Forms, medication, and health supplies can be brought to the High School Health Office during the following times:

• Monday, August 29 and Thursday, September 1, from 8 – 3
• Picture Day/Activity Fair on Tuesday, August 30, from 12 – 8
• Student’s first day of school.

We are gearing up for a successful start to the school year! Part of that planned success depends on great communication and we need your help to make that happen.

We are asking all parents of current students to complete the Annual Update in Infinite Campus for each child before the first day of school.

If your child has not yet attended school at PLSAS, you do not need to complete this update.

It is important to update or confirm your information so we can communicate with you about important events including emergencies and school closures.

To start, login to Infinite Campus, click on “More,” then “Online Registration” and follow the prompts. For assistance, contact Lynn Wieczorek at 952-226-0062 or lwieczorek@priorlake-savage.k12.mn.us

PLHS students do not receive a supply list. The following supply items are recommended:

• Writing utensils: pens and pencils
• Notebooks and Folders
• Math class students: TI83-PLUS or TI 84-PLUS

Teachers will inform students if other supplies are needed.

We are committed to providing a safe learning environment for students and staff.

We will require all students entering or exiting the building to scan their student ID at the front desk during the school day, to ensure accurate records.

9th Grade students will receive a temporary student ID using their 8th grade photo on it. All returning 10th & 11th grade students will use their previous years ID until new picture ID are delivered.

Seniors, who took a picture as a junior, will receive a 2022-23 ID with their junior picture on it.

Lockers will automatically be assigned to 9th grade students.

10th-12th grade students may request a locker by completing the Locker Request Form. Lockers will be assigned before the first day of school. Limited availability.

Your student may qualify for free or reduced-price school meals. (You must complete a new form each year)

State funds help to pay for reduced-price school meals, so all students who are approved for either free or reduced-price school meals will receive school meals at no charge.

Be sure to check out the activities website at www.plhsactivities.org for specific information on all sports, clubs, activities, and organizations!

Registration is now open for all fall sports! You can register at the following link: https://isd719a.cf.affinetysolutions.com/

The fall sports season starts on Monday, August 15. Please look at the sports websites for specific times and locations. You MUST have an updated physical on file in order to be able to register. Physicals are good for three years.

All students grades 9-12 can purchase a pass for $50 that will get them into all home athletic events for the entire year (playoffs excluded). Passes will be available to purchase online soon at https://isd719a.cf.affinetysolutions.com/

We will be conducting our first annual Leadership Summit on August 9 & 10 from 9am-3pm. This Summit is designed to provide leadership training for our students involved in our sports and activities, but it is open to all!

We will have our fall sports Parent-Athlete-Coach meeting on Monday, August 15 (first day of fall sports) at 6:00pm in the Gold Gym. The Activities Department will speak briefly before breaking off into individual team meetings.

We have an opportunity for people to attend a pre-season Vikings game for only $20/ticket with $5/ticket coming back to support PLHS Activities. The game is on Saturday, August 20th, against the 49ers. This is a great way to attend a Vikings game for a reasonable price while also helping support PLHS Activities!

Once again, Charlie’s will be hosting a Back-to-School Bash to promote PLHS Activities. This will take place on Tuesday, August 23, from 4-8 pm at Charlie’s on Prior.

There will be great food deals, games, and fun for the whole family, with a portion of the proceeds supporting PLHS Activities.
