Happy Thanksgiving EACS Families!
Greetings,
During this Thanksgiving season, I sincerely hope that you enjoy time with family and friends! Rather you have a huge feast or a small intimate dinner, my hope is that you share love, mercy, and grace. Be safe, live out loud, and be thankful. Enjoy the following recipe!
Thanksgiving Heart
1 cup of true love
2 cups of kindness
3 cups of grace
1 tsp of patience and forgiveness
a pinch of zest for living
Simmer on low every day! Live, Love, Laugh!
We have three days of school this week. Let's keep encouraging our students to do their very best!

Anchorage Concert Association Presents....
Congratulations to Brisa Mina and Lyla Nephew! They will be performing in The Nutcracker at the Atwood Concert Hall along side premier dance company Eugene Ballet and Anchorage Symphony Orchestra.
Please support our students in the arts! I am looking forward to a spectacular show!

Alaska Native/Native American Heritage Month
Since 1990, November has been declared as Alaska Native American Indian Heritage Month. November is a time to celebrate the history, traditions, and rich and diverse indigenous cultures of Alaska and the country.
Volunteers Needed...
Birthday Book Club
Parents,
We are need of volunteers to set up, monitor, and take down the monthly Birthday Book Club for our students during snack time. The day is flexible. Please call us at the front office if you are interested in this job! Thank you always!
After School Yoga Club
Thank you Mrs. Aprille Cage for hosting the first Yoga Club for 20 of our primary students ages 5-8! The first class is Friday, December 1, 2023. We will begin at 2:30 pm. Class will end at 3:30 pm. Remember, we will only accept the first 20 permission slips for this first class. Thank you for your interest. Permission forms will go home today! Or you may print it out! Please return it by Tuesday, November 28, 2023. Thank you!
Music Winter Program Rehearsals 6-8
Parents,
Mrs. Crowther is gearing up for a fantastic winter music program. Please prepare your families to be good audience members.
Music K-5
Your children will learn their parts for the program during their regular music class time.
German students 7-8
Your children will be learning carols in German during German class.
Middle school 6-8
Mrs. Crowther is organizing a middle school choir to practice during lunch. We will meet every Tuesday and Thursday from 12:40-1:00. If your child is interested, please fill out the form (link above) and turn it in to the office.

Inclement Weather
'Tis the Season
Temperatures will be starting to drop. We go outside (weather permitting, to 10 degrees below zero) for recess every day. Students who do not have their gear will not be able to play at recess. Please, please, please send your student(s) to school with appropriate winter outerwear. This means:
- warm coat
- winter hat
- mittens or gloves
- scarves
- snow pants
- boots
It is always a good idea to mark your child’s name on all items. You would be surprised how many pairs of black snow pants we get!
Fueling Our Legacy
The work here at Eagle Academy charter School is progressive. We pay it forward as our 8th graders lend a helping hand to our Kindergarteners in Reading! Our Eagles are flying high! Thank you Middle School Eagles and Mrs. Caldwell/Mrs. Kesler!
