LLMEA Newsletter

Hi Folks - Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! The executive committee of LLMEA would like to wish all of you a smooth start and a year full of successful achievements with your music students. Please look over the following newsletter carefully and mark down any important dates which pertain to you. Our goal is to continue to send out a monthly newsletter to remind you of upcoming festivals, deadlines, and meetings. Information about all of our events can be found on our website www.llmea.org.

The future of LLMEA depends greatly on your involvement with our organization and the events we sponsor. If you have new music teachers in your school district this year, please forward this newsletter to them. Our by-laws state annual registration is required to participate in any of our festivals or events. Please take the time to register for this school year. PMEA does not forward their contact information to us, so we are responsible for our own membership drive. All music teachers in Lancaster and Lebanon counties are eligible for membership in LLMEA. Please encourage everyone in your department to register. There have been quite a few turnovers in personnel from last year and we would love to have an accurate and up to date directory of all the music teachers in Lancaster and Lebanon counties. As stated above, please forward this newsletter to any new music teachers in your district so we can reach everyone with important information.

We would like to invite you to our first general membership meeting of the year on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at 4:15pm. We will be meeting via zoom and you can access the meeting by clicking on the link below. The meeting will be active starting at 4pm. We will be discussing several important items such as specifics for festivals, audition/selection meetings, guest conductors, etc. If you have new music teachers in your district, please encourage them to attend.
