December 2024 ASVAB Testing
The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery-ASVAB is designed to help students identify careers they can excel in. This test is a great opportunity for students grades 10-12 to engage in career exploration no matter their post-secondary path, college, vocational or military. Naviance
Naviance a great college and career readiness platform that is free to parents and students. Naviance is used to provide students with tools and resources for their post secondary planning. Students access Naviance via their Class Link accounts. Parents, if you would like access to your parent account, please utilize the link below.
GAFutures is a platform from the Georgia Student Finance Commission (GSFC) that provides resources for Georgia students to help with college planning, career exploration and financial resources, houses student HOPE Scholarship GPA information, and understanding the HOPE Scholarship.https://www.gafutures.org/

HOPE/Zell Miller Scholarship Program
The HOPE Scholarship Program is a merit-based award in Georgia that helps students pay for tuition at eligible college and universities. The scholarship is available to Georgia residents who have demonstrated academic achievement, and assists with a portion of tuition cost at HOPE participating colleges and universities.

Scholarship Resources
Scholarships are financial support awarded to a student based on academic achievement and other criteria that may include financial need. Scholarships allow students financial assistance to purse their post-secondary education dreams. By obtaining scholarships, students are eliminating debt, creating a future aligned to financial success. To maximize scholarship opportunities, parents, encourage your student to complete two scholarship applications per month by utilizing the resources below.

College Readiness
College readiness involves being prepared to enroll in and successfully complete entry-level, credit bearing academic programs at two- and four-year post secondary schools, as well as being equipped with the knowledge, skills, and disposition to transition from high school to college successfully.
College Entrance Exams: SAT vs ACT
The SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) is a standardized test administered by the College Board that measures a student's aptitude in three areas: Critical Reading, Math and Writing. 11th and 12th grade students should test to submit scores as a part of the college application process.
The ACT (American College Testing) is a standardized test administered by ACT that measures student's understanding of their high school curriculum in four areas: English, Reading, Math and Science. 11th and 12th grade students should test to submit scores as a part of the college application process.
PSAT/NMSQT
The PSAT (Practice SAT) tests students 9-11th grade skills in reading, writing and math.
