Students to Keep iPads/Hotspots Over the Summer
Students will again be keeping their district-issued iPads and hotspots over the summer. This allows learning opportunities to continue throughout the summer. Exceptions include graduating seniors and students unenrolling from District 196. For more details and guidance around this, please visit this website which can also be found in the About menu of the district’s website (http://www.district196.org). If you have questions, contact your child’s school or submit at https://www.district196.org/techhelp. Thank you.
Students who have graduated or left the school district may leave unused dollars in their District 196 Nutrition Services meal account. The Nutrition Services department seeks to ensure that parents/guardians are aware of these fund balances and can decide how they want to use these funds.
There are three options from which to choose.
- Donate funds to the Angel Account, used to help pay for students in need.
- Transfer unused funds to a sibling’s District 196 Nutrition Services account.
- Request a check refund for the remaining balance.
Yearbooks for 2023 are Here!
YEARBOOK BUYERS: The yearbooks were distributed May 26. If you are wondering if you ordered, a list of buyers is posted outside of room 231. If a student believes they have purchased a book and they are not on the list, they should contact Suzy Heilman, Yearbook Advisor suzanne.heliman@district196.org.
NON-BUYERS: Jostens shipped us 42 extra yearbooks that we are distributing on a first come, first served basis. Dr. Hedlund will be handling our late orders in the attendance office. Planning for the End of Spring Trimester
Wednesday, June 7th is our last student day!
All grades 9, 10 and 11 students will have Finals on June 6 and 7. Seniors in good standing are not required to take Finals. Seniors last day is today - Friday , June 2.
Teachers will NOT be giving Finals early to grades 9, 10 and 11. If a student is absent on June 6 or 7 the teacher should be informed and will leave the Final Assessment with our Registrar in Counseling. The student would be able to come in during the summer to make up that assessment. Once the teacher returns to grade the work a final grade in the class will be determined.

We are experiencing concerns with damage to restrooms - especially boys restrooms. When that happens the restroom has to be closed for cleaning/repair and that makes it unavailable for student use for a period of time. Please report, using this anonymous method, the information about this problem. Thanks!
