Teachers have sent home invites for our Kinder & 5th grade graduations next week. Our doors will open at 5PM for our ceremonies that begin at 5:30PM.
Please do not bring Balloon Bouquets or large signs, noisemakers, etc. They obstruct the view and experience for others. Any Balloon arrangements, signs, etc., will not be allowed in the cafeteria until after the ceremony.
We will send official invites soon, but want to share Spring Graduation information early!
Kindergarten Graduation

Walkers: Please make sure that you arrive with a yellow card to show us at dismissal. If you do not have one, you will need to get one from the front office and provide ID.
Bus riders: All bus rider students should have a Smart Tag on their backpack that they scan when they get on and off the bus. If a student is missing their Smart Tag they can request one in the front office.

Cafeteria Service Survey for Parents
Title 1 Family Engagement Survey
Parents, please take a few moments to complete our annual Title 1 Part A Family Engagement Survey. This survey is used for future planning about our parent and family engagement policy and continuously improving the academic quality of our school. The Family Engagement Survey is required by all campuses receiving Title 1 Part A funds.
The research is clear about the connection between student improvement and effective home-school communication and partnership. Please complete this survey so that we can evaluate our strategies for parent and family engagement and to determine how we can continue to grow and strengthen our partnership between school and home!
The survey will be open through May 19th.

Spring Book Fair!
Our spring Literati book fair will be from May 15th-19th in the Newton Collins Library. All proceeds from the book fair will benefit our school library.
All students will have an opportunity to visit the Book Fair with their class during the school day.
Parents and community members can shop our book fair online by visiting our online book fair website.
For students purchasing books at the book fair, we encourage you to purchase a gift card from our website for them to use instead of sending cash. This ensures no money gets lost on the way to school. You are welcome to email the gift card (along with your child’s name in the email) to our librarian, Ms. Amy, at amy.gonzalez@dvisd.net. She will use the gift card for your child when he/she visits the book fair.
Want to buy a book for a student in need? Purchase a book fair gift card and send it to our librarian, Ms. Amy, at amy.gonzalez@dvisd.net. Please add a note that it is a donation for a student who needs a book. She will share it with a student in need so that they can buy a book.
Interested in purchasing a Literati Book Clubs subscription? When you subscribe to Literati Book Clubs, you will receive a box of books tailored to your children's needs each month. In addition, 10% of your monthly subscription fee will benefit the Newton Collins Library! This is a great way to get new books for your children each month and to support our library!
Please reach out to our librarian, Amy Gonzalez, at amy.gonzalez@dvisd.net if you have any questions about our book fair.
