This was a bittersweet week at Fletcher Elementary School. Mrs. Quaal closed out her year and passed the torch to Ms. Orcutt. On Monday she's having a baby! Mrs. Quaal, we wish you all the best as you enter this next chapter of your life <3

At our PTA meeting Thursday evening we began the planning process for our upcoming Valentine's Day Family Dance. It will be held on February 9th from 6-8PM in the Fletcher Auditorium. Come on out with your student to enjoy an evening of dancing, treats, and fun!

On Wednesday, School Site Council reviewed and passed our budget for the 2024-25 school year. Some difficult decision needed to be made due to a 10% reduction in Title I funding. Nevertheless, we are still going to be able to provide the same high-quality educational environment for your students. Thanks for the overwhelming response to the budget survey a couple weeks ago. We were able to align our spending for next year with the top priorities you indicated in your responses: Mental Health and Wellness, Small Group Instruction, and VAPA. This week's Student of the Week is Logan in Mrs. Wilsie's class. Logan works hard every day and has improved dramatically in all areas of learning. He is a great listener and a hard worker. He doesn't give up even when things are difficult! Logan, thank you for being such an incredible Falcon and thanks for exemplifying what it means to be a leader at Fletcher Elementary School!
